Normal operation: select email from inbox or other folder list, click on. Print; email print preview window appears, followed by print dialog box; click on print.
If print dialog box does not appear, click on the print link in the upper left corner; continue. New operation, asof 3 days ago; select email from list; click on. Print; the print preview window does not contain the email.
Instead it contains only the picture from he left side of the sign-in page, w/ no print link, only a contact us link in the lower right corner, which yields the Help with Microsoft account page. I downloaded Safari and signed in to login.live.com. Selected an email, etc. The print preview window came up as advertised. Closed the window.
Next, and all subsequent tries, the print preview window behaved as described in new operation above. The print preview and print functions seem to work OK in all other applications, including IE9. I vaguely remember having this problem a long time ago, but have no idea how it was fixt. Hi Robert, Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I do appreciate your efforts and time. Has your Outlook account upgraded to Outlook Mail (Preview)? Try to reset Internet Explorer and check if it helps.
Change or reset Internet Explorer settings: Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature. Best browsers for Outlook.com: Hope this helps in resolving the issue. If the issue persists, do get back to us.
We will be happy to assist you. I have tried each of the suggested steps above, but the problem persists in IE9, Version 9.0.8112.16421 (Update versions: 9.0.44) on Vista Home Basic/SP2. I log into my hotmail account in Outlook.com.
As far as I can tell my account hasn't upgraded to Outlook Mail (Preview). The print function works fine when I open Outlook.com in Firefox Version 42.0, Chrome Version 46.0.2490.86, and Safafri Version 5.1.7 (7534.57.2). (Note, however, that in Chrome the normal Outlook.com print preview window flashes briefly but is replaced by the Chrome version which is the same size as the Outlook.com print preview window' but contains the Chrome print dialog on the left half and a miniaturized full page of the email (sometimes only header w/out content) on the right half of the window.) Some emails tell me I need to upgrade to IE10 or higher, but Vista doesn't seem to like that.
(I don't understand why Vista is still supported, but not w/ IE versions capable of http5). As said in my original question, I think this happened a long time ago with Outlook.com, but can't remember how it got fixt.
I have a user with a very strange issue. She is able to print from Word and Adobe just fine. Devices and Printers show her physical and virtual printers.
When she goes to print from Outlook and only outlook suddenly all her printers show as a single undefined device and Outlook says there are no printers. Close outlook and all the printers reappear and shes able to print from other applications.
We just reimaged her system due to a failing hard drive. All drivers are brand spanking new. I've reinstalled the physical printer driver as Microsoft's website said it could be a corrupt driver issue. This only happens when she is at home printing from her HP laserjet but not when she is in the office and prints to our HP laserjet printer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled her home printer twice but the issue persists.

Outlook somehow is the issue. When Outlook is opened and she goes to print all printers disappear and are replaced with a single undefined device. As soon as outlook is closed all the printers reappear. This is for a user that has a brand new profile setup on her computer. Its a freshly imaged computer and when I say fresh I mean it was reimaged Tuesday of this week. Its a freshly imaged computer and when I say fresh I mean it was reimaged Tuesday of this week. Does the same happen if you use another profile on the computer besides hers? Does she have a roaming profile? Jason Low (Seasons) wrote: Josh of RTS wrote: Jason Low (Seasons) wrote: Josh of RTS wrote: No different model, and different name.

Shes back in the office today so I can't really test anything unless the issue repeats itself here. It still seems specific to the combination of Outlook and that Specific printer she has at home. She worked here all day and was able to print from Outlook no issues.

She gets home and Outlook once again can't print but other applications can. I installed a different set of drivers for her printer but still the same issue occurs. Its just strange that its only with this one specific printer. I had her print to other HP printers in the office here without any issues. Repaired Outlook still no resolution.
